The entire Ritz-Craft team in
Pennsylvania gathered on Thursday, August 7th to commemorate the
10,000th home to roll out of Plant 3 in Mifflinburg. The event
included speeches from current ownership, as well as the attendance of three of
the original Ritz-Craft owners, Paul John, Sr., Don Ritzenthaler and Glenn
Cunningham.
Paul John began the celebration by
asking employees to raise their hands based on how many years they have been
with the company. Several of Mifflinburg employees have been with Ritz-Craft
since 1977 – devoting 30 or more years to the company.
Pete and Lynn Ferrera of Key Homes were
present at the celebration and will be taking delivery of the home, a three
bedroom, two bathroom, 1,800 square foot ranch, destined for New York state.
Key Homes, who also took delivery of the first home out of Plant 2 in
Mifflinburg, has built over 1,000 homes with Ritz-Craft.
“Everyone should take pride in their
work,” remarked Eric John. “I know it gets hot and it gets hard, but this is
what it’s all about – it’s about you, not us. Congratulations on this
milestone.”
Pennsylvania State Representative Fred
Keller was also present to offer his congratulations the Ritz-Craft employees:
“What a proud moment for this business, the family and employees. It’s very
hard work. These people make everything possible.”
