Ritz-Craft Corporation Invests in New Employees

Housing On The Rise

Mifflinburg PA: With an uptick in orders and increased optimism in the economy, it looks as if 2012 will be a good year for Ritz-Craft Corporation of Pennsylvania. Locally Ritz-Craft has hired 30 new employees at its Mifflinburg plant facility. Employees have been hired in the corporate office, the manufacturing facility and at Ritz-Trans, Ritz-Craft’s transportation division. Steve Forcheskie, General Manager of Ritz-Craft’s Northeast Division expects the number of new employees to possibly grow to 50 or more as production increases.

Forcheskie elaborates “The number of orders that we have received so far this year greatly exceeds where we were last year at this time. We have been receiving numerous reports from our network of builders and sales representatives that they are seeing much more activity in the marketplace.”

The National Association for Business Economics states that housing starts are expected to rise from 610,000 units in 2011 to 700,000 units in 2012. In addition, they expect housing starts to reach 850,000 units in 2013. In order to keep up with this increased demand, Ritz-Craft Corporation is investing in the best asset possible – people to meet this demand.

“With this rise in homebuilding, we have increased our number of employees at the Pennsylvania facility as well as the North Carolina and Michigan facilities,” explains Paul John, President and CEO of Ritz-Craft Corporation. “Our people are our greatest asset and we pride ourselves on our employees and the hard working talent we are able to recruit from local resources. We are very optimistic about the future and the opportunities the current market will bring.”
