Ritz-Craft Introduces “The Sanford” at IBS

02/07/2007

Mifflinburg, PA--To introduce site builders to the difference between site built vs. “off-site built” building systems at the International Builders Show in Orlando Feb. 7-10, Ritz-Craft Corporation unveiled a 2600 sq. ft. narrow lot two-story with an attached 1500 sq. ft. design center/garage named the Sanford.  The square footage doesn’t include the unfinished 3rd floor space or unfinished space above the garage.  Constructed and furnished in just 6 days, the design boasts a dramatic Tuscan columned entry with 10-foot ceiling and a 48 foot view to the back patio / pool area.  The custom-built Hearth Kitchen (built by Legacy Crafted Cabinets – a division of Ritz-Craft) had quartz countertops and a built in wine chiller.  The home also featured coffered ceilings, built in library bookshelves, and curios on the first floor, which were visible upon entering the foyer area.  Hardwood and ceramic floors and an oak staircase to the second floor brings you to a stunning Master Suite featuring 9-foot ceilings, a whirlpool bath and tray ceiling with round columns and a ceramic tiled body massage shower.

The attached garage with a 12/12 roof and two dormers showcases a complete “Ritz-Design center” with five kitchens, an entertainment center, closet organizers, bath fixtures, lighting fixtures, staircase display, faucet display and many other ideas for homebuyers to color their homes and design their dreams.

What is an “Off-Site Built” home?

Paul D. John, President and CEO said, “The Distinction is in our Differences.  Ritz-Craft is a family owned custom homebuilder that builds off-site.  Founded in 1954 the homes were called “factory-built homes”, in the 70’s they became “modular homes’, and today they have evolved into “systems-built homes” which are custom built off-site in a climate controlled facility.  Ritz-Craft has consistently modernized its construction methods and technology over the past 52 years, and has used that experience to build the finest quality homes.  We build to higher construction standards with superior skilled labor and better quality materials, all built in a environmentally controlled building site.”

Eric W. John, Vice President explained, “Every home that is built is made up of systems like the heating, plumbing, or electrical system.  When building a systems built off site home we break everything down into a system (floors, walls, ceilings/roofs, plumbing, electrical, etc) and precision engineer those systems into modular sections, using the latest computer aided drafting methods and modern hi-tech fastening systems”.

Paul John said, “Some people ask if our homes are as well built as a site built home and our reply is - yes and in many respects our homes are built better.  We can say this with confidence, knowing that bad weather isn’t a factor in our construction process.  In addition, our zero defect attitude and our critical third party inspection process ensure the highest quality standards.  We build custom ranch, cape, two-story or duplex floor plan designs with a multitude of custom elevations and we also create total custom homes to meet the desires of today’s homebuyers”.
